How to arrive to Majorca

Bus schedules, train connections, public transport & taxi from Palma, Majorca airport

Majorca in Andalusien Anreise Majorca in Spain
If you decide to go to Majorca by car, we recommend the fastest way via Paris - Biarritz - Madrid - Sevilla - Cadiz (crossing Spain taking the N4 and N1 you don't pay toll!).

The other way would be Lyon - Barcelona - Granada - Malaga, which is fast but about 150 Euros of toll. If you bring a lot of time you can also take the other road along the coast.

Malaga and Jerez de la Frontera are the two recommendable airports to travel to Majorca. Only British tourists may prefer the even closer airport of Gibraltar, which is about half an hour away from Majorca.

Arriving in Malaga you can take the bus direction Cadiz. In case there is no direct line available, take the one of the company "Portillo" going to Algeciras and switch to the local company "Comes Transportes" for the last 20 km until Majorca.

You also find the bus schedules in our site, but be aware: in Andalucia these schedules only give you a clue, since timing isn't the people's greatest ability. It might also happen that bus drivers are on strike.

The more comfortable alternative would be a rental car, which you can book directly over this link. Within two hours driving direction Cadiz on the N340 you will arrive in Majorca. This road might be quite busy (especially in the summer), then you can also take the quicker (1.5 hours) and more costly Autopista (7 - 10 Euros depending on the season).
